The President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil in Gurgaon


Gurgaon, March 05- The President of India Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil today came to Gurgaon on a private visit. On arriving in Gurgaon through a Air Force helicopter, she was welcomed by the Health and Education Minister of Haryana Smt. Geeta Bhukal on behalf of the State Government.
Amidst tight security, her chopper landed at 1.00 PM at the helipad prepared in the open ground near Leisure Valley Park in sector 29 of Gurgaon. She was received by Smt. Bhukal along with the officers of district administration. The helipad area was cordoned of by erecting barricades. Policemen were deputed in large number and nobody was allowed to go near the President’s Chopper.
For ensuring proper security arrangements of the President, the DGP CID PV Rathi and ADGP CID Anil Davra came specially to Gurgaon from Chandigarh. Haryana Chief Minister’s SP Security Maharaj Singh was also monitoring the security. After landing at the helipad, the President went to the house of senior congress leader and former Union Minister Vasant Sathe whose house is located in Sushant Lok of Gurgaon. It was told that today was Mr Sathe’s 85th birthday as he was born on 5th of March 1925 at Nasik in Maharashtra. The President remained in Gurgaon for about One hour and 50 minutes duration. Her chopper flew back at 2.50 PM.
On this occasion, the Police Commissioner Gurgaon SS Deswal, Joint Commissioner of Police Alok Mittal, Deputy Commissioner Rajender Kataria, Deputy Commissioner of Police HQ Kulwinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police west Patram, SDM Gurgaon north Satender Duhan, SDM Gurgaon South KK Gupta, Estate Officer I Pushpender Chauhan, Estate Officer II Satbir Singh Lohchab, GM Roadways Yashender Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr PS Dhawan, District Education Officer Ajit Singh Kadian, District Elementary Education Officer Jyoti Chaudhary were also present.
