छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य हाथ करघा विकास एवं विपणन सहकारी संघ द्वारा राजधानी रायपुर में कल 19 नवम्बर को राज्य सरकार के ग्रामोद्योग विभाग और केन्द्रीय वस्त्र मंत्रालय के हाथ करघा प्रभाग के सहयोग से राष्ट्रीय हाथ करघा वस्त्रों की प्रदर्शनी 'नेशनल हैण्डलूम एक्सपो-2010' का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। यह 22 दिवसीय विक्रय प्रदर्शनी आगामी नौ दिसम्बर तक चलेगी। शंकर नगर स्थित बी.टी.आई. मैदान में सवेरे 11 बजे इसका शुभारंभ होगा। शुभारंभ समारोह की अध्यक्षता छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार के स्कूल शिक्षा और लोक निर्माण मंत्री श्री बृजमोहन अग्रवाल करेंगे। गृह, जेल और सहकारिता मंत्री श्री ननकीराम कंवर, ग्रामोद्योग तथा खाद्य, नागरिक आपूर्ति और उपभोक्ता संरक्षण मंत्री श्री पुन्नूलाल मोहले, संसदीय सचिव डॉ. सियाराम साहू सहित नगर निगम रायपुर की महापौर श्रीमती किरणमयी नायक समारोह में विशेष अतिथि होंगी प्रदर्शनी में छत्तीसगढ़ सहित देश के विभिन्न राज्यों के हाथ करघा बुनकरों द्वारा तैयार कपड़े ग्राहकों को उचित मूल्य पर उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे। इसमें ग्राहकों को बीस प्रतिशत की विशेष छूट मिलेगी। इसमें छत्तीसगढ़ की प्रसिध्द कोसा साड़ियों के साथ डे्रस मटेरियल, मध्यप्रदेश की चंदेरी और महेश्वर की साड़ियां, महाराष्ट्र की पैठनी साड़ियां, गुजरात में निर्मित लहंगे, उत्तर प्रदेश की बनारसी साड़ियां, बिहार की भागलपुरी और खादी सिल्क, आसाम की प्रसिध्द मूंगा सिल्क, हरियाणा के फर्निंशिंग वस्त्र और गलीचे, जम्मू कश्मीर के प्रसिध्द पश्मीना शॉल, राजस्थान की जयपुरी रजाई, पश्चिम बंगाल से कांथा और तांत साड़ियां, पंजाब की कशीदाकारी पर आधारित कपड़े और हिमाचल प्रदेश तथा दिल्ली के प्रसिध्द हाथ करघा निर्मित कपड़े भी ग्राहकों को उपलब्ध होंगे

M.P. Pavilion - Showcase of States Development
Madhya Pradesh Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya today invited the investors to come and invest in the state as the state has conducive atmosphere and has immense potential which can be tapped. He was speaking at the Madhya Pradesh Day celebration at Lal Chowk Theatre, Pragati Maidan. Shri Chetanya Kashyap senior BJP leader from the state, Addl. Chief Secretary, Industry, Shri Satyaprakash and Managing Director of TRIFAC Shri Anil Jain, Special Commissioner Smt. Loveleen Kakkar, Senior officials of Industry Development were present on the occasion. Prizes were also given to Private Companies for their exemplary performance. Shri R.P. Singh Chief General Manager LUN escorted the Industry Minister and explained him about the various aspects of M.P. Pavilion.
Earlier, Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya lit the lamp and took a round of the pavilion and inquired about the various products displayed in the pavilion.
The cultural function titled 'reliving a heritage though the sprit of dance' showed Matki dance of Malwa region and Badhai dance of Bundelkhand regions were performed which enthralled the crowd. Madhya Pradesh Pavilion is a showcase of state's development and story of progress made in social and economic field during last few years. Apart from state development it also shows the state's historical heritage, its natural beauty, forests reserve and mineral resources through panels and artifacts. Along with this, Pavilion also depicts the importance of clean power and the progress made in the field of industrial development and immense potential for investment in state along with the various concession the state is providing for setting up industries. The Pavilion also shows the immense tourist potential of the state. The Pavilion shows Gwalior Fort at the entrance, falls of Pachmari, Sanchi Stupas, Chattries of Orchha, Tigers of Kanha National Park, Khajuraho Temples with a lady performing Khajuraho dance festival, Bhedaghat Falls of Jabalpur with flowing Narmada River. This all promises a memorable outing for tourists. Short films on states development tourism, Handicrafts, Industrial Development and various film on various welfare programme were shown on the big screen at Pavilion.

LOW INTEREST LOAN TO WEAVERS
Under the Comprehensive Handloom Cluster Development Scheme (CHCDS) introduced for integrated and holistic development of mega handloom Clusters, provision inter-alia exist for credit at concessional rate from lending Institutions. However, so far the proposals of the mega clusters have not matured to avail credit at concessional rate under the said scheme. This information was given by the Minister of State for Textiles, Smt. Panabaaka Lakshmi in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today to a question raised by Shri Narendra Kumar Kashyap.
The Minister further stated that loan is not extended under any of the schemes of the office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles. However, to make the beneficiaries avail the working capital loan from the Banks, an amount of Rs.1279.693 lakh has been released as margin money during the last three years under Integrated Handlooms Development Scheme(IHDS).

DAYANIDHI MARAN PRESENTS SHILP GURU & NATIONAL AWARDS TO MASTER CRAFTSPERSONS & MASTER WEAVERS.
Thiru Dayanidhi Maran, Textiles Minister, presented Shilp Guru Awards and National Awards for the year 2007 and 2008 to handicrafts artisans, master crafts person and master weavers at a glittering ceremony held here today.
While speaking on the occasion, Thiru Maran said that these are not just Awards but the Nation’s gratitude shown to all master crafts persons and weavers for their outstanding contribution in the field of handicrafts and handlooms. While giving the details for the exports of handicrafts and handlooms for the current year, Thiru Maran said that exports of the handicrafts during April – October has touched US $ 1.07 billion , as against US $ 864 million in the corresponding period of 2009-10, denoting an increase of 24 per cent over the previous year. Whereas exports of the handlooms during April – July were US $116.76 million, as against US $71.65 million during the corresponding period of last year, denoting an increase of 63%. The target set for the exports of handlooms is Us $ 300 million during the current financial year, Thiru Maran added. He expressed the hope that Shilp Gurus , Masterweavers and Mastercraft persons and the entire handlooms and handicrafts sectors will strive for achieving the export targets set by the Government.
Thiru Maran expressed the satisfaction over the several schemes of the Textiles Ministry being implemented to help the artisans and weavers to upgrade their skills and processing techniques so as to enable them to obtain additional income, Thiru Maran said. He said that financial assistance of Rs. 70 crores is given to each mega clusters to provide infrastructure and production facilities through adoption of Comprehensive Handloom Cluster Development Approach. In addition, the Ministry has also launched recently Integrated Skill Development Scheme for the upgradation of the skills of 30 lakh workers in 5 years with an outlay of Rs. 2400 crore. These workers include 13 lakh handicraft artisans and over 1.5 lakh handloom artisans, Thiru Maran said.
Thiru Maran further said that Textile Ministry is seriously considering to launch a dedicated scheme at a cost of Rs. 136 crore for North-Eastern Region for providing handicraft artisans belonging to that region facilities for design development ,marketing, infrastructure and skill ulpgradation.
During the ceremony, Thiru Maran presented Shilp Guru Awards to 20 handicraft artisans and 91 National Awards to the master craftspersons and master weavers.
At the function, Smt. Panabakka Lakshmi also addressed the gathering and highlighted the various welfare schemes for handloom weavers and handicrafts artisans being implemented by the Textiles Ministry.
The function was attended by Smt. Rita Menon, Secretary. Textiles, development Commissioner (Handlooms), Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) and senior officials of the Ministry.
BACKGROUND: (A)The Shilp Guru Award for the Mastercraftspersons was introduced during the year 2002 on the occasion of “ Golden Jubilee Year of Handicrafts Resurgence in India and these awards are conferred to legendary mastercraftspersons of Handicrafts whose work and dedication have contributed not only to the preservation of rich and diverse craft heritage of the country, but also to the resurgence of handicrafts sector as a whole.
Each Award consists of one mounted gold coin, one shawl and a citation. In addition, financial assistance to the extent of Rs. 6.00 lakhs is also gien to each selected Shilp Guru to innovate and create 5 new products of high level of excellence, high aesthetic value and high quality befitting the stature of the Guru.
(B) National Awards to Master Craftspersons and masterweavers were introduced in 1965. The award comprises of a cash prize of Rs.1,00,000/-, a Certificate, Tamrapatra and an Angavastram

राष्ट्रीय खादी, हस्तशिल्प एवं सरस महोत्सव उदधाटन राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती प्रतिभा देवी सिंह पाटील करेंगी।
एक दिसम्बर से राष्ट्रीय खादी, हस्तशिल्प महोत्सव झारखंड राज्य खादी एवं ग्रामोद्योग बोर्ड अपनी स्थापना की छठी वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर एक दिसम्बर से 21 दिसम्बर तक रांची के मोरहाबादी मैदान में राष्ट्रीय खादी, हस्तशिल्प एवं सरस महोत्सव का आयोजन करने जा रहा है। महोत्सव का उद्धाटन दिनांक 10 दिसम्बर को राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती प्रतिभा देवी सिंह पाटील करेंगी। कार्यक्रम की तैयारियों के संबंध में झारखंड राज्य खादी एवं ग्रामोद्योग बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष, जयनन्दू ने बैंक के वरिष्ठ पदाधिकारियों एवं राज्य शासन के पदाधिकारियों के साथ बैठक की। राज्यपाल के प्रधान सचिव सुधीर त्रिपाठी, ग्रामीण विकास विभाग के सचिव एस.के. सतपथी, उद्योग सचिव ए.पी. सिंह, उपायुक्त के.के. सोन, भारतीय स्टेट बैंक के उप महाप्रबंधक पी. चक्रवर्ती एवं बैंक आफ इंडिया के उप महाप्रबंधक त्रिलोचन सिंह के साथ बैठकें की गयीं। अन्य विभागों एवं प्रतिष्ठानों से भी सम्पर्क किया जा रहा है। झारखंड राज्य खादी एवं ग्रामोद्योग बोर्ड द्वारा अब तक राष्ट्रीय स्तर के 6 महोत्सव किये गये हैं।
